I have been quite interested about what Guerrilla Game’s new IP could be for a while now, but thanks to new alleged leaks, we may finally be able to figure out what the Killzone developer plans to do next.
This week, concept art has appeared online that the source says belongs to Guerilla Game’s new IP, something which has been rumored to be called Horizon. In the two released images, a very large robotic dinosaur creature can be seen. In one image, the dinosaur can be seen within a dense jungle. In the other, two hunters, one of which is a red haired female with a bow, the other a hooded man with a revolver, attempt to take down the large dinosaur.
Whilst there’s no way to definitely confirm these images are the real deal, they certainly match up with previous reports in the year by Shinobi602, a renowned leaker, who stated that Guerilla Game’s new IP will come with robotic dinosaurs and a red haired female protagonist.
I am certainly starting to get excited at the fact that Guerrilla Game’s new IP could potentially be a brand new venture into a world of robot dinosaurs – hopefully we can expect some very natural world environments, and a set of limited hunter weaponry for player’s to use against a range of different robosaurs.
The approach Guerrilla Games take on the gameplay in Horizon will either make or break their upcoming concept, and I absolutely cannot wait to hear something official from either Guerilla or Sony in the near future.
Unfortunately, it may be quite a while before we see Horizon reach release though; at this point, it seems as if Guerrilla Games are still quite early in development, and Horizon sounds like quite a large project for them to tackle. Perhaps we’ll see a release in late 2015 or some time in 2016.
