In our Elder Scrolls Online veteran rank leveling guide we’ll show you some of the best ESO VR grind spots for those of you out there looking to level up an alternate character, or just reach Veteran Rank 14 in the shortest amount of time possible.
Veteran Ranks 1 – 6:
The best place we’ve found so far for grinding Veteran Ranks 1 – 6 after completing the man story with the Ebonheart Pact is Merovec’s Folly in Glenumbra. You can get there by fast traveling to Lion Guard Redoubt Wayshrine.
Merovec’s folly will be surrounded by ton of zombies and a few necromancers, allowing players to aggro a lot of zombies at a time for use with ultimate abilities and group grinding. Some players find it useful to to hit zombies with a shot from a restoration staff in order to aggro them as quickly as possible. Each zombie kill nets somewhere around 450 XP and always, works best when grouped up with another player. We’ve also found that using the werewolf ability can help speed up the grinding process, as well as helping to break up the monotony a bit. This spot can be used to level all the way to Veteran Rank 6 at which point you won’t receive any experience gains.
Veteran Ranks 6 – 11:
Once you reach Veteran Rank 6, you can head over to Bangkorai for a good grind spot for Veteran Ranks 6 – 11. The easiest way to get to the next spot is by fast traveling to Evermore Wayshrine in Bangkorai where you will find Northglen, which is a small farm surrounded by zombies and Bloodthorn cultists.
In Northglen the same general grinding method we used in Merovec’s Folly still applies, the main difference being there are many more enemies here. Be careful if you are only VR 6 and grinding solo when you reach this area, you can easily aggro too many enemies and become overwhelmed. As before, group grinding works best and we usually use the werewolf ultimate ability here as well due to the large amount of bodies to use devour on. This spot can become crowded at times, but with the large amount of NPCs there’s usually enough for everyone.
